Orocobre Limited is engaged in the operation of lithium business and development the of lithium deposits. The principal activities of the Company are the production and development of industrial chemicals in Argentina. It also includes the operations of Borax. It has three reportable segments, being Corporate, the Olaroz project and Borax. Its Olaroz Lithium Facility is located in the Puna region of Jujuy Province in northern Argentina, over 230 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Jujuy. Borax Argentina operates its open-pit mines in Tincalayu and Sijes. Borax Argentina produces products, including minerals, such as ulexite, colemanite and hydroboracite; refined products, such as borax decahydrate, borax pentahydrate and borax anhydrous, and boric acid. Its refined products has applications in a range of markets from agriculture, ceramics, glass, insulation fiberglass, textile fiberglass, smelting fluxes and other specialty applications.
