Austpac Resources N.L. is an Australia-based mineral and steel technology company. The Company is engaged in the development of mineral processing technology, and exploration and development of mineral sands deposits and gold deposits. The Company's technologies include Enhanced Roasting and Magnetic Separation (ERMS) Roast, Low Temperature Roast (LTR), ERMS Synthetic Rutile (SR) Roast, Enhanced Acid Regeneration System (EARS), Iron Reduction and Continuous Leach Reactor (CLR). The Company's technology transforms ilmenite into synthetic rutile (synrutile), a feedstock for titanium dioxide pigment production and a feedstock for titanium sponge, an intermediate step in the production of titanium metal. The Company's Newcastle Zinc and Iron Recovery Plant (NZIRP) is designed to recycle the byproducts from the steel and galvanizing industries to produce pig iron, hydrochloric acid (HCl) and zinc. The Company has Exploration License 5291 near Nhill in Western Victoria.
