The following ASX small-cap stocks have strengthened their investment appeal through significant operational progress and improving business fundamentals.

1. Kogan.com Limited (ASX: KGN)

Kogan.com Limited (ASX: KGN) is an eCommerce business based in Australia and New Zealand which uses technology and its scale to offer competitive prices across a wide range of products and everyday services.

The company operates through Kogan.com and Mighty Ape which sell products directly to customers. Its business model also includes capital-light divisions such as online marketplaces and loyalty subscriptions as well as advertising.

Kogan in FY26 generated gross sales of $1.042 billion and gross profit of $210.9 million. Adjusted EBITDA stood at $41.8 million while the company ended the year with $36.4 million in cash and no external debt.

Marketplace and Loyalty Programs

The Marketplace business will allow third-party sellers to offer products through Kogan's platform without requiring the company to hold additional inventory. Kogan FIRST and Mighty Ape's PRIMATE loyalty programs also encourage repeat purchases and improve customer engagement.

Mighty Ape Restructuring and AI Adoption

Mighty Ape underwent a major operational restructuring in FY26 which included lower inventory levels and a simpler team structure as well as the closure of its Christchurch warehouse. The business returned to positive adjusted EBITDA in the fourth quarter.

Kogan is also making greater use of AI and automation across customer service and logistics as well as purchasing and engineering.

2. Duratec Limited (ASX: DUR)

Duratec Limited (ASX: DUR) is an Australian engineering and construction company which specialises in the protection and renewal of critical infrastructure and industrial assets through its remediation services.

The company has several competitive advantages which include a national operating presence along with a specialist technical expertise and long-standing relationships with major clients. Its Early Contractor Involvement model helps secure projects at an earlier stage while Master Services Agreements and recurring maintenance programs provide better revenue visibility.

FY26 Financial Performance

The company in FY26 generated revenue of $570.3 million and normalised EBITDA of $58.5 million. Net profit after tax stood at $23.8 million while cash reserves reached $78.8 million at year-end.

FY27 Growth Outlook and Project Pipeline

Duratec has entered FY27 with a record order book of $650.8 million and tenders worth $1.3 billion alongside an identified project pipeline of $4.8 billion. Further growth opportunities are expected from defence infrastructure investment and energy projects as well as ageing industrial assets and rising demand for building remediation and infrastructure maintenance.

3. Capral Limited (ASX: CAA)

Capral Limited (ASX: CAA) is Australia's leading supplier of aluminium extrusion and rolled products which serve the residential and commercial construction, industrial manufacturing, transport, marine, infrastructure and solar markets.

The company has six manufacturing plants with eight extrusion presses as well as nine distribution centres and 15 trade centres which give it a strong national presence and an estimated 27% market share.

Diversified Customer Base and Business Strengths

One of Capral's key business strengths is its diverse customer base because industrial applications account for 50% of sales volume which reduces its reliance on the residential construction cycle.

1H26 Financial Performance

The company in 1H26 recorded revenue of $373 million and underlying EBITDA of $29 million along with NPAT of $15.9 million while it also held a net cash position of $62.1 million.

Future Growth Initiatives
