Alligator Energy has released an announcement on 22 June 2026 confirming that all conditions precedent had been satisfied for the $7.5 million sale of its Northern Territory uranium assets to DevEx Resources.
Alligator Energy Limited (ASX: AGE) had reported that the divestment of its non core Northern Territory uranium assets to DevEx Resources Limited (ASX: DEV) was now close to completion with settlement expected by the end of June 2026.
The deal is structured for total consideration of $7.5 million which include $5.75 million in upfront consideration and $1.75 million held in third party escrow pending renewal of the relevant exploration access agreement.
The company noted that the transaction is expected to improve its cash balance and reduce near term funding pressure. Management also described the sale as a strategic move to simplify the portfolio and sharpen focus on the South Australian asset base, particularly Samphire.
CEO and Managing Director Andrea Marsland-Smith said the company is βvery closeβ to completing the transaction and that the proceeds will help fund planned exploration and development activities.Β
The announcement adds that the divestment supports accelerated work at Samphire while improving funding capacity.
From an investor perspective, this is a balance sheet positive, portfolio rationalisation update rather than a growth catalyst on its own.Β
The key watchpoints are transaction completion, escrow release conditions and how efficiently Alligator redeploys capital into Samphire.
