BHP, CSC, SFR, AIS and A1M are stocks which performed well in past year due to growing copper demand as electrification and data centres growth is increasing significantly with limited copper supply. Take a look at their recent performance for deeper insights.

1. BHP Group Limited (ASX: BHP)

On 18 August 2026, announced its June ending full year results, reflecting strong performance as copper production reached around 2Mt for the second consecutive year, making it world’s largest copper producer.

The copper segment contributed 54% of the total group revenue with an EBITDA margin of 70%. The company remained FCF positive each year in copper production.

BHP Group has a market capitalisation of approximately $306.11 billion and it remains optimistic about copper production as they expect to increase the total copper equivalent production to around 2.5 Mtpa by mid 2030s.

The growth in demand is primarily driven by growth of electrification and data centres, creating massive demand for copper in the future and positioning the company well for investors seeking exposure to it.

2. Capstone Copper Corp (ASX: CSC)

On 31 July 2026, published its June ending second quarter results, delivering stable performance as total copper production of the quarter remained at 51,759 tonnes with C1 cash costs of $2.82/lb.

It declined compared to pcp largely due to a lower sulphide production, primarily because the production resulted in lower sulphide grades at Mantos Blancos.

The company has a market capitalisation of around $13.7 billion and had reported a record revenue of $739.7 million for the quarter with a realised price of $6.22/lb.

This led to an adjusted net income for the quarter of $97.6 million, compared to just $27.5 million in pcp, driven by increased mining operation and demand drive the realised prices higher.

3. Sandfire Resources Limited (ASX: SFR),

On 26 August 2026, announced its June ending FY26 results, reporting a resilient growth as copper equivalent production for the year increased to 154.2kt, while also increasing the operating costs due to growing demand.

Revenue for the year stood at $1.7 billion with copper segment’s revenue accounting for 70% of total revenue.

The company has a market capitalisation of around $9.94 billion and has a significant global copper portfolio, with one more project’s strategic review nearing completion.

Looking ahead, SFR expects the production to revolve around the current figures for FY27 with a slight increase in operating costs. It also expects its underlying exploration and evaluation expenses to increase to $68 million with a capex guidance of $299 million, preparing it for the increased demand in future years.

4. Aeris Resources Limited (ASX: AIS),

on 27 August 2026, announced its full year results, delivering strong growth as Tritton’s total revenue went up by $164.4 million to $467.5 million in FY26.

It was primarily driven by 19% increment in copper production from 19.4kt in FY25 to 23kt in FY26, along with stronger prices throughout the year due to significant increase in demand.

The company has a market capitalisation of $697.83 million and has reported an adjusted EBITDA figure of $318 million due to strong conversion of revenue.

Ore reserves at Tritton grew to +10Mt including around 180kt of copper reserves from just 2.4Mt by the end of 2024. With growing copper demand and increased production, AIS is well positioned to take advantage of the growing opportunities.

5. Aic Mines Limited (ASX: A1M),

On 10 September 2026, publishes its conference presentation, showcasing copper production of 13kt during the year at an AISC of $4.99/lb and AIC of $5.32/lb.

The company’s development process of Stage 1 expansion is underway with an expected combined total production of 1.1Mtpa by December from Jericho and Eloise, which will increase the copper production to 20ktpa.

The company has a market capitalisation of $635.59 million and is expecting the Stage 2 expansion to begin in 2028.

Looking ahead, the company expects a production target of 15.5-18.5kt for FY27 with an expected expansion to 20-22kt by FY28 and 25-27kt by FY28, scaling its operations well for growing demand.
