1. Woolworths Group Limited (ASX: WOW)

On 25 September 2026, Woolworths announced that it will hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 29 October 2026.
Earlier, on 26 August 2026, the company announced its full-year results for the year ended June 2026. Group sales grew 3.6% YoY to $71.5 billion, while group EBIT increased 12.7% to $3.1 billion, led by stable growth across all segments.
Group NPAT rose 15.4% YoY to $1.6 billion, while ROFE increased 2.7% YoY to 16.4%.
Woolworths also increased its fully franked final ordinary dividend by 15.6% from the prior year to 52 cents per share.

On 13 August 2026, Rio Tinto announced that it had secured a long-term deal with Tomago Aluminium.
Tomago Aluminium entered into a 10-year power purchase agreement for electricity supply to the smelter through to 2038, with the power to be supplied by 100% renewable sources from 2033.
The agreement includes an investment of $1.1 billion from now to 2038.
Earlier, on 29 July 2026, Rio Tinto announced its half-yearly results for the period ended June 2026.
Consolidated sales revenue grew 15% to US$31 billion, while underlying earnings grew 43% YoY to ~US$6.9 billion.
The company also announced an ordinary dividend of 211 US cents per share, representing a 43% increase YoY.
5. Telstra Group Limited (ASX: TLS)
Telstra Group Limited (ASX: TLS) is one of the top blue chip stocks, with a current market capitalisation of $53.24 billion and a current 90% franked annual dividend yield of 4.39%.
On 10 September 2026, Telstra announced that it had issued a $342 million bond with a maturity of seven years under Telstra's Debt Issuance Program Offering Circular dated 18 August 2026.
On 13 August 2026, Telstra Group Limited announced its FY26 financial results for the period ended June 2026.
The company reported total income of $23.4 billion for FY26. EBITDAaL increased 3% YoY to $8.2 billion, while NPAT grew 2.7% YoY to $2.4 billion.
EPS increased 5.3% to 19.9 cents per share. Telstra distributed a dividend of 21 cents per share, representing a 10.5% YoY increase.
