Stelar Metals Limited (ASX: SLB) reported on 13 July 2026 that its maiden field program at the Hill of Leaders Project in the Northern Territory had uncovered widespread high grade tungsten mineralisation. The announcement reported rock chip assays above 1% WO3 across multiple zones which confirms what the company described as a significant new tungsten system.
The first pass program collected 18 rock chip samples with more than a quarter grading above 0.5% WO3 and two samples exceeding 1% WO3. Stelar noted scheelite and wolframite were identified across a broad footprint while molybdenum, bismuth and copper were also elevated supporting the view that the project hosts a broader hydrothermal mineral system.
Management said the results validate the companyβs exploration model and suggest the mineralisation is not limited to isolated showings. The company also highlighted the projectβs strategic value amid tightening global tungsten supply and noted that the discovery adds to the growing Northern Territory critical minerals pipeline.
Stelar linked the discovery to its next phase of work including further mapping, surface sampling, geophysics and a maiden RC drilling program to test continuity and depth. It also pointed to Executive Chairman Stephen Bigginsβ track record at Core Lithium as a key strength in advancing Northern Territory projects through discovery and development.
