SKS Technologies secures additional MEL2 data centre work

SKS Technologies Group Limited (ASX: SKS) announced an additional $38 million of work on 6 October 2026 for the next stage of the MEL2 data centre project in Melbourneβs northwest which took the total contracted work on the project to $66 million.
The latest award has followed the $28 million of early works announced in July 2026 and shows the developerβs confidence in SKS Technologiesβ ability to handle complex electrical and digital infrastructure projects. The new contract covers inground services and cold shell works which include the supply and installation of high-voltage and low-voltage systems as well as inground communications infrastructure needed for the next construction stages.
It also includes 22kV cabling from the substation to Shell A along with 22kV switchroom equipment which increases SKSβs role in the critical power infrastructure required for the data centre.
SKS will also complete the cold shell fit-out of Shell A which includes lighting, power distribution, earthing and cable support systems as well as the internal fit-out of the clientβs technical space, offices, stores, amenities and communications rooms.
SKS Technologiesβ work on hand after this new award has risen to $270 million which will provide the company with a larger base of contracted work to support future revenue opportunities.
Management said repeat work from the same developer shows confidence in SKSβs workmanship along with reliability and ability to complete critical infrastructure projects on time and to specification.
The company also pointed to a robust and growing tender pipeline and a client base that returns for further work which could help increase work on hand as new project awards are secured. SKS specialises in the design and installation of electrical technologies and digital infrastructure which includes audio visual, communications and electrical solutions.
