About Us & What financial services are we authorised to provide?

Veye is a leading independent equities research firm dedicated to helping its clients improve their investment results through unbiased and precise recommendations around buying, selling or holding stocks. Our sole purpose is to empower our clients in achieving their financial ambitions through our expertise, innovation, excellence & service. Veye is an Authorised Representative (AR No. 001261006) of GLOBAL MERCES FUNDS MANAGEMENT LTD, which holds AFSL No. 460883. Veye is authorised by GLOBAL MERCES FUNDS MANAGEMENT LTD to provide general advice in the following classes of financial products to retail clients –Securities, Derivatives, Interests in Managed Investment Schemes, Foreign Exchange Contracts, Debentures, stocks or bonds. We use newsletters, e-letters, websites and reports as a medium to share our advice on Securities.

Remuneration/commission/benefits

VEYE Pty Ltd is remunerated through the fees that we charge for the service we provide. Our subscription fees range from $500 to $2000 incl. GST per annum depending on the service you select.

Employees of Veye Pty Ltd and its sub-contractors who prepare research and provide other advice are remunerated by salary. They may also be entitled to a bonus based on the financial performance of Veye Pty Ltd. Veye Pty Ltd accepts submissions from freelance contributors who are paid a flat fee per article.

In addition, we pay our sub-contractors for providing sales services and managing day-to-day operations on behalf of us. And, pay our third party vendors for helping us manage and maintain our web portal.

What type of advice do we provide?

Veye shares only generic financial views through its website, reports and newsletters without keeping into consideration your personal financial needs or investment objectives. All investments have a varied outcome and do not always guarantee returns as per your expectations. Therefore, we do not advise you to interpret our reports as direct recommendation for any investments. You should always seek professional advice from your financial advisor or stockbroker before acting on any of our content or taking a final decision on your investments.

Do we have professional indemnity insurance?

In accordance with Regulatory Guide RG126 and Section 912B of the Corporations Act 2001, Veye has Professional Indemnity Insurance in place, which covers the work done by us.

How do we, our employees get paid?

Selling subscriptions of our generic financial views through our website, reports and newsletters to our esteemed clients is the primary source of revenue generation for us. This revenue is then utilized to cover all the operational and administrative costs of our company. This involves paying salaries to all the employees including our directors. With our employees being considered the biggest asset we may reward them with performance based bonus. Similarly, our sales & marketing staff may be paid incentives for meeting subscription selling targets. We do not indulge in paying or receiving any other fees, commissions or benefits to or from any other person or companies in relation to the financial services provided by us. Please note that our subscription fee may vary from time to time because of various promotional offers that we keep on running.

How do we deal with complaints?

At Veye, all our clients are entitled to use our dispute resolution service. If you have a complaint about any services you should:

  • Contact us by phone on (02) 9052 4957 or email info@veye.com.au to explain your situation and concerns. To begin with we will acknowledge the receipt of your complaint. Veye will do everything possible to resolve your issue to your satisfaction within 30 days or take a maximum of 45 days from the date of receiving your complaint to give you a final response.
  • If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction by Veye, you can access our external dispute resolution scheme and submit your complaint to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). AFCA provides fair and independent financial services complaint resolution that is free to consumers. AFCA can be contacted through the following means:

How do we manage conflict of interest?

We do our best to avoid conflicts of interest for our subscribers that we value the most. Being in a relationship with our clients that is purely based on trust and our expertise in this area, Veye Pty Ltd confirms that we do not have any relationships or associations with any financial product providers that will or may influence us, in the supply of financial services that we need to provide.

All the research undertaken by our experts is unbiased and it is not influenced by any commission. Instead, we adopt the 5 W’s (Who, What, Where, When & Why) and 1H (How) approach as the basis of our analysis and research to ensure the right outcome which is beneficial for our clients.

We have a well-defined staff trading policy that our staff is required to comply with. The details of this policy are available on our website. Staff holdings in listed securities and managed investment schemes are available on the website for our subscribers, and in every print edition. We do not pay commissions to financial advisors. Employees are not allowed to share the details of recommendations with third parties or instruct them to act on recommendations before they are published.

We may pay a referral amount to a third party when you subscribe with us, if you have been referred by them or through their website. You can always ask for details of such remuneration after being provided this Financial Services Guide and before we provide any financial services to you.
