Two ASX healthcare stocks, investors should keep an eye upon
The following ASX healthcare stocks are gaining momentum as key clinical and regulatory milestones along with upcoming commercial catalysts position them for substantial upside.
Proteomics International Laboratories Limited (ASX: PIQ)
Proteomics International Laboratories Limited surged more than 14% on Monday after announcing that its US Reference Laboratory has received CAP accreditation which is a key regulatory milestone that accelerates commercialisation efforts in the United States.
The company also confirmed the successful installation and commissioning of a new precision diagnostics mass spectrometry platform.
Cash receipts from customers for the September quarter amounted to $1.86 million which was a sharp increase from $0.20 million in the June quarter and was mainly driven by a non-recurring $1.71 million receipt linked to the WA Proteomics Facility partnership.
As at 30 September 2025, the company held cash reserves of $10 million which strengthened after receiving a Research and Development tax incentive rebate of approximately $2.2 million in November.
With CAP accreditation now complementing its existing CLIA certification, Proteomics International is implementing testing protocols ahead of the planned United States launch of PromarkerEso in 2026.
Nyrada Inc (ASX: NYR)
Nyrada Inc rose more than 19% on Monday helped by the fact that its Phase IIa clinical trial of Xolatryp is on track to commence in March 2026.
The company has successfully completed its Phase I clinical trial which confirmed a strong safety profile with no serious adverse events reported across all participant cohorts.
Nyrada closed the September 2025 quarter with a cash balance of $7.92 million compared with $2.93 million at the end of June reflecting the successful completion of an $8.25 million capital raise in August 2025.
Quarterly operating cash outflows amounted to $2.73 million and were mainly driven by research and development expenditure which is consistent with a company at this stage of clinical development.
Positive outcomes from the Phase IIa trial would mark a major value inflection point as it would represent the first demonstration of clinical efficacy in humans for Xolatryp and Nyrada is positioning itself as a differentiated cardioprotection and neuroprotection biotechnology company ahead of key clinical milestones in 2026.
