These five ASX-listed companies are advancing semiconductor and related deep-tech technologies, covering memory, Edge AI, photonics, neuromorphic computing and quantum technology.

1. Weebit Nano Limited (ASX: WBT)

Weebit Nano Limited (ASX: WBT), on 31 July 2026, reported Q4 FY26 customer receipts of A$3.4 million from licensing and NRE fees, cash of A$167 million, and upgraded FY26 revenue guidance to A$13.5 million.

The company added new licensing and design agreements, while existing agreements were also expanded.

Overlord Labs has integrated Weebit ReRAM into its Genesis Battery Intelligence Platform for battery-powered Edge AI devices. The platform enables continuous battery sensing, modelling and optimisation, while Weebit ReRAM provides low-voltage, ultra-low-power embedded NVM, high-density non-volatile memory and a bit-addressable architecture.

Three customer chip designs had taped out with embedded Weebit ReRAM, with one already demonstrating a functional prototype running software.

Technology transfers to Texas Instruments and onsemi progressed as planned, while A$15 million was secured through the Share Purchase Plan.

2. BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN)

BrainChip Holdings Ltd (ASX: BRN), in Q2 2026, advanced its commercialisation strategy with the IBM Spectrum Symphony Community Akida Bundle, expanded its Neuromorphyx relationship, and partnered with Orama.AOI for industrial defect detection.

BRN also purchased 1,200 BrainBoard1500 chips in December 2025 and entered a development partnership in August 2026.

The company's next-generation products also progressed, with AKD2000 MPW tape-out scheduled for December 2026, Akida Pico IP ready, and Sequora available for customer evaluation in Q4 2026.

AKD1500 chip deliveries are creating a new revenue stream, while Akida enables hybrid computing across CPU, GPU and neuromorphic processing.

3. BluGlass Ltd (ASX: BLG)

BluGlass Ltd (ASX: BLG), on 21 September 2026, entered an early-stage collaboration with Coherent to co-develop a novel GaN-based device.

The A$286,000 project combines BluGlass' GaN epitaxy and laser manufacturing expertise with Coherent's photonics engineering and commercialisation capabilities.

The three-to-five-month feasibility study will assess process compatibility, device architectures, epitaxial structures and manufacturing techniques.

The device is being developed for high-performance visible-wavelength lasers targeting scientific instrumentation and medical applications. The collaboration also expands BluGlass' GaN laser portfolio into scientific and medical markets.

4. 4DS Memory Ltd (ASX: 4DS)

4DS Memory Ltd (ASX: 4DS), on 31 August 2026, announced an agreement to acquire Jenesys Pty Ltd, a company developing software for autonomous systems.

The semiconductor company plans to raise up to $5 million to develop its PCMO ReRAM technology for computing-in-memory and neuromorphic computing, while adding Jenesys' Edge-AI software capabilities.

Completion is targeted for October 2026.

After completion, 4DS plans to continue developing its 60nm PCMO ReRAM semiconductor platform for CIM and neuromorphic applications.

The company also plans to integrate Edge-AI software, develop proof-of-concept devices, work with strategic partners, and pursue commercial partnerships, licensing arrangements and pilot programs.

5. Archer Materials Ltd (ASX: AXE)

Archer Materials Ltd (ASX: AXE), on 14 September 2026, launched a Quantum Commercial Pilot with IonQ, allowing Australian organisations to test significant computational problems on IonQ Forte Enterprise.

Selected projects will undergo classical benchmarking, quantum simulation and hardware testing, building a potential customer pipeline.

Archer and CSIRO will progress quantum machine learning fraud detection testing on IonQ hardware.

The company will also continue commercialisation discussions across financial services, defence and advanced industry, alongside its semiconductor-based quantum technology and 12CQ program.
