This ASX Gold Stock Could be Set for Strong Growth
Yandal Resources has shared its latest exploration update, covering new gold drilling results, upcoming work across its projects and its financial position. The company is continuing efforts to find and develop new gold opportunities.
Yandal Resources Limited (ASX: YRL)
Yandal Resources Limited (ASX: YRL),on 13 July 2026, announced new RC drilling results from the Siona Prospect within the New England Granite target area at the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project. Assay results were received from all nine shallow RC holes drilled southwest of the main Siona mineralised structure. The program followed up shallow high-grade gold intersections identified during earlier drilling.
Results confirmed a continuous, near horizontal gold zone in the upper regolith profile, located southwest of the main mineralised trend. The further drilling is planned during the second half of 2026 to determine whether this gold is linked to a primary structure or represents secondary mineralisation. An updated exploration target for Siona is expected in early August 2026.
Next work at Siona and New England Granite
The latest drilling builds on work completed during late 2024 and early 2025, where gold intersections were found outside the main Siona trend. The new program also identified several higher-grade intervals within the shallow mineralised zone. RC drilling at the Salusa Prospect will restart in the coming weeks. A broader air-core drilling program across the New England Granite target area will begin once final heritage approvals are received. YRL plans to use these results to improve its understanding of the area and support future exploration across the project.
Upcoming exploration news
Yandal Resources has outlined several exploration updates expected during the remainder of 2026. At the Arrakis Discovery, upcoming news includes RC drilling assay results from the southeast extension, additional results aimed at defining higher-grade mineralisation, and RC drilling of parallel air-core anomalies starting in July. An exploration target for Arrakis is expected in late July or early August 2026. At Flushing Meadows, which hosts a Mineral Resource Estimate of 268,000 ounces at 1.1g/t gold, diamond drill core assay results are expected in late July. Air-core drilling has already started across Flushing Meadows and the Giedi Prime target, while follow-up RC drilling will test below recently reported intersections.
Strong funding position
The company said exploration programs across the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project continue to progress, with a strategic review scheduled for late July 2026 to update the exploration timetable for the second half of the year. At the New England Granite target area, drilling at Salusa will continue to test the previously reported intercept of 6 metres at 6.3g/t gold from 36 metres, including 2 metres at 18.2g/t gold. As of 31 March 2026, Yandal Resources held a cash balance of $14.7 million, providing full funding for its exploration program throughout calendar year 2026 while continuing work across multiple gold targets.
