On 18 August 2026, announced its full year results till 30 June 2026 which reflects a year of reset for the company as it takes steps towards simplifying its operations and strengthen the company for future growth. Revenue for the year went down by 1% to US$15.8 billion, leading to a fall in underlying NPATA by 2% to US$3.1 billion. The company reported a net loss of US$2.6 billion which majorly reflected significant restructuring costs and impairments. Despite this, operating cash flow remained strong at US$3.5 billion. The company’s market capitalisation stands around $82.52 billion with a current dividend yield of around 2.37% which provides continued shareholder returns along with the capital management initiatives.
CSL continues to maintain its dividend even after such a challenging year as it has announced a final dividend of US$1.62 per share, which is payable on 2 October 2026. The company also announced a further $1.1 billion share buy-back after the completion of a previous $1 billion buy-back during the financial year 2026. CSL The balance sheet also remained relatively strong, with net assets of US$16.3 billion and leverage of 1.8 times.
On the operational side, CSL continues to see strong underlying demand across its plasma and specialty medicines businesses. Newer therapies such as ANDEMBRY and HEMGENIX are gaining momentum, with HEMGENIX sales increasing 25% and ANDEMBRY generating US$240 million in its first full year in the market. CSL also entered a strategic collaboration with Dutch biotechnology company VarmX for a potential treatment aimed at restoring blood coagulation. In addition, CSL plans to invest approximately US$1.5 billion to expand its US plasma manufacturing presence, including the Horizon 2 yield improvement program.
CSL expects revenue for financial year 2027 to remain broadly in line with the current results whereas the underlying NPAT is expected to grow approximately 5%. All three business segments of the company expects different growth pace, as CSL Behring is expected to deliver a stable mid-single-digit revenue growth which will be supported by a higher single digit immunoglobulin growth. CSL Seqirus is expected to achieve low-single-digit growth only whereas CSL Vifor seems to expect a bad year as its revenue is expected to decline around 25% due to generic competition and other product-specific pressures. Overall, CSL believes solid plasma market fundamentals along with a simplified business and targeted investments can support a return to sustainable growth.
