IperionX shares surged after the company announced receipt of the final US$4.6 million tranche of U.S. Department of War funding, completing its US$47.1 million IBAS award which strengthens confidence in the planned scale up to 1,400 tpa titanium production and supports its long-term growth outlook.

IperionX Limited (ASX: IPX

IperionX Limited continues to make steady progress in building a domestic, low-cost titanium supply chain in the United States supported by growing production capability and strong backing from the U.S. Government.
With a market capitalisation of around $2.35 billion the company is emerging as a key listed player in advanced titanium manufacturing and critical materials.
During the September 2025 quarter the company successfully brought all major manufacturing equipment online at its Titanium Manufacturing Campus in Virginia enabling steady state production of titanium powder and components. Process optimisation lifted nameplate titanium powder capacity by 60% to 200 tonnes per annum without additional capital spend, with further capacity increases expected through 2026.
A major long-term growth driver was reaffirmed on 16 January 2026, when the company confirmed the U.S. Department of War backed expansion to scale production to 1,400 tonnes per annum by mid-2027 positioning IperionX to become the largest and lowest cost titanium powder producer in the U.S. The expansion is largely funded through a US$47.1 million IBAS award significantly reducing funding risk.
Commercial momentum is also building with IperionX commencing production of titanium fasteners and components for the U.S. military, consumer electronics and industrial markets alongside initial purchase orders and active customer qualification programs. The company expects titanium manufacturing sales to progressively scale with a positive EBITDA inflection targeted by the end of 2026.
