Imricor Medical Systems, Inc. surged more than 17% by afternoon trade on Monday after announcing its first FDA approval which boosted investor confidence in the rollout of its MRI-guided cardiac ablation platform.

Imricor Medical Systems, Inc. (ASX: IMR

on 12 January 2026 announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted 510(k) clearance for its Vision-MR Diagnostic Catheter which marks the company’s first FDA approval.
The FDA clearance allows Imricor to commercially market the Vision-MR Diagnostic Catheter in the United States which is the world’s largest electrophysiology market.

This approval is expected to be the first of multiple regulatory clearances during the current calendar year as the company continues to introduce its full MRI-guided electrophysiology platform to the market.

On 19 December 2025, the company announced that Charite University Hospital in Berlin will become the second global site to participate in the VISABL-VT clinical trial.

Earlier on 4 November 2025, Imricor reported that Amsterdam University Medical Centre completed the world’s first in-human ischemic ventricular tachycardia ablation performed entirely under real-time MRI guidance in an iCMR laboratory.

This milestone reflects several years of collaborative development which combined Imricor’s medical device capabilities with the clinical expertise of the Amsterdam University Medical Centre team.

NorthStar was launched in Europe at the end of the September quarter and the European sales pipeline increased from 26 to 35 during the quarter.
Discussions with hospitals in the United States identified a larger-than-expected installed base of cardiology-controlled MRI scanners which supports longer-term commercial potential.

The company reported operating cash outflows of US$4.8 million for the September quarter and finished the period with total cash and short-term investments of US$45.7 million.

Imricor’s strategy works because it targets a clear unmet need in electrophysiology through a fully integrated MRI guided ablation platform that is hard to replicate and well positioned to gain from first mover advantage as hospitals move towards safer, image guided cardiac procedures.
