ASX small cap stocks like European Lithium Limited (ASX: EUR) and Resolution Minerals Limited (ASX: RML) emerge as upcoming opportunities in critical minerals. Tanbreez rare earths and Horse Heaven antimony deliver world class grades that position these juniors for explosive growth.

Resolution Minerals Limited (ASX: RML)

has delivered strong assay results from its Horse Heaven project in Idaho, USA on 14 January where five massive stibnite grab samples from the historical Antimony Ridge Mine has returned extraordinary antimony grades averaging 39.2% Sb with peaks at 48.7% Sb. This was accompanied by significant silver credits averaging 430 g/t Ag and up to 890 g/t Ag plus gold traces to 1.19 g/t Au. These substantial 3.6kg samples which was collected from open pits and trenches in October 2025 confirm widespread high grade polymetallic mineralization exposed at surface across a broad footprint adjacent to Perpetua Resources' permitted Stibnite Gold-Antimony project just 12km east. This positions Antimony Ridge as a critical U.S. domestic supply source amid escalating national security concerns over antimony shortages.

The company has secured 100kg of representative stibnite silica vein material for metallurgical testing which is now underway at Kingston Process Metallurgy in Canada and Independent Metallurgical Operations in Australia, while final assays from 2025 Golden Gate diamond and RC drilling remain pending to complement this antimony gold tungsten target.

Resolution is advancing permit for drilling and bulk sampling at Antimony Ridge which highlights the rare combination of world class grades in a U.S. jurisdiction waiting for rapid development as Western governments prioritize critical minerals independence.

European Lithium Limited (ASX: EUR)

has released its first assay results from its 2025 drilling campaign across the Fjord Deposit and Upper Fjord areas at Tanbreez where Total Rare Earth Oxide grades ranged from 0.40% to 0.47% with Heavy Rare Earth Oxide content comprising 25-27% of TREO. It was accompanied by other important metals which included 100ppm gallium oxide, 300ppm hafnium oxide and 742ppm yttrium oxide. These results from the 3,430m program across 20 diamond holes validate resource growth potential and support ongoing updates to the Mineral Resource Estimate alongside mine planning studies.

Critical Metals Corp, in which EUR maintains a 45% stake, has approved construction of a Tanbreez pilot plant and multi use storage facility in Qaqortoq, Greenland through a turnkey contract with 60 North Greenland, marking a critical de risking milestone that enables proof of concept processing for rare earths and critical metals from this globally significant peralkaline deposit with year round fjord access to North Atlantic shipping routes. This positions Tanbreez to supply Western markets as governments push efforts to secure non China rare earth sources for defense, clean energy and advanced technology applications.
