Recent updates from Biome Australia reflect progress across proprietary research, operating performance and international distribution signalling continued execution across key strategic priorities.

Biome Australia Limited (ASX: BIO

continues to make steady progress on both commercial execution and long-term product innovation marked by recent developments in its Canadian expansion and research pipeline.
The company has secured distribution for its entire Activated Probiotics range on Fullscript Canada, a leading practitioner to patient platform serving over 100,000 healthcare practitioners and more than 5 million patients across North America.

This partnership complements Biome’s existing relationship with Ecotrend Ecologics enabling comprehensive coverage of the Canadian practitioner market through both traditional wholesale and direct to patient digital channels.

The dual-channel model reduces friction for practitioners and improves accessibility of Biome’s products regardless of their preferred dispensing method.

The company delivered its strongest quarterly performance to date in Q2 FY26. Quarterly revenue increased 41% year on year to $6.5 million while rolling twelve-month revenue reached approximately $22 million.

The company reported its eighth consecutive quarter of the positive EBITDA with Q2 EBITDA of around $1.0 million. Gross margins remained above 61%, supporting the operating leverage as scale increases.

Strong cash generation allowed the Biome to repay working capital facilities while growing its cash balance to $3.36 million.

On 3 February 2026 Biome received the ethics approval to commence its first human clinical trial on its proprietary probiotic strain, Lactobacillus plantarum BMB18.

The randomised double-blind placebo-controlled study will recruit 240 participants and investigate digestive, sleep and mood outcomes. The trial is fully funded within the existing R&D budget and represents key step in validating Biome owned intellectual property.

Ownership of clinically validated proprietary strain has the potential to support new product development enhance competitive positioning and strengthen the underlying asset base over time.

Overall, Biome is progressing across multiple strategic pillars simultaneously distribution expansion, financial discipline and scientific validation. While execution and clinical outcomes will remain key variables to monitor recent developments indicate continued momentum in building a scalable evidence-based microbiome health platform.
