1. ETFs Global Pure Play Copper Miners ETF (ASX: CPPR)

ETFs Global Pure Play Copper Miners ETF (ASX: CPPR) is established with an objective to provide exposure to top copper mining companies globally which are working in copper mining sector.

The benefits of this ETF includes an exposure to multiple companies involved in different stages of the development and operations and also involved in various mining activities like exploration, extraction and processing globally.

With a rising demand for electrification and data centres across the globe, copper remains a strategic metal in its infrastructure development, driving its demand rapidly in the coming years.

Country Composition and Holdings

Canada stands at the top of the country composition with 47.6% portfolio concentration, followed by:

  • 15.6% in Australia

  • 7.8% in United States

  • Some other countries with a relatively small composition

The ETF was comprised of 50 holdings as of August 2026, with top holdings including:

  • Hudbay Minerals (4.63%)

  • Nittetsu Mining (3.32%)

Performance and Fees

The performance comparison is not feasible as the ETF launched recently with an inception date of 27 April 2026.

However, the management fees remains low at 0.39% p.a. with an annual distribution frequency, making it an attractive investment opportunity for investors seeking rapid growth in coming years.

2. Global X Copper Miners ETF (ASX: WIRE)

Global X Copper Miners ETF (ASX: WIRE) is set up with an objective to provide exposure to a basket of copper miners which are expected to benefit from upcoming strong growth rally.

The benefits of investing in this ETF includes a significant investment opportunity in global copper miners, supported by structural tailwinds from clean energy, EVs and numerous other next-gen advancements.

Copper is useful in numerous industries which fuels the economic activities, positioning it as a metal with significant importance.

Country Composition and Holdings

Around 70% of the country composition is centred around:

  • Canada: 38.5%

  • Australia: 12.1%

  • United States: 10.9%

  • Hong Kong: 9.1%

Various other countries have small compositions.

The number of holdings stood at 39 as of August 2026, with major holdings including:

  • Hudbay Minerals (5.6%)

  • BHP Group (5.2%)

Performance and Fees

The fund was established on 21 November 2022 and has given since inception returns of 31%, while 2025 was proven to be the most successful year with full year returns of 78.4%.

The performance remained broadly in line with the index with a bit lower returns.

Management fees and costs stands at 0.65% p.a. with a semi-annual distribution frequency, positioning it well for long term growth.
