Amazon remains one of the most consistent growth players in global tech with AWS leading the charge and the company is well placed to shine in the upcoming holiday season.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN)

once again showed how strong it is after posting solid third quarter results for 2025 as the company’s mix of businesses like e-commerce, cloud and ads kept growing well.
Total sales for the quarter were around US$180.2 billion compared to US$158.9 billion last year, up by 13.4% year on year.

Operating income was US$17.4 billion and net income jumped to US$21.2 billion from US$15.3 billion last year and this sharp rise mainly came from better performance in AWS and its ad business.
AWS still remained the biggest profit maker with revenue of US$33 billion this quarter which is a 20% rise compared to last year and its operating income rose to US$11.4 billion from US$10.4 billion earlier, showing how well demand for AI-based cloud and data storage is supporting the segment.

Amazon also increased its partnership with Anthropic by turning part of its investment into non-voting preferred stock worth about US$14.8 billion which helps strengthen its AI presence.
The company ended the quarter with around US$67 billion in cash showing its strong balance sheet and operating cash flow for nine months till September 2025 reached US$85 billion compared to US$70 billion in the same time last year.

It is also facing some regulatory and antitrust cases in US and Europe but management said these are well handled and won’t hurt long term plans as even after spending US$2.5 billion on
FTC fine and US$2 billion on restructuring and job cuts, profit margins were great.
The company now looks to be shifting from only focusing on growth to more steady and sustainable profits as its cloud and ad businesses are now key earnings drivers.

Amazon expects its net sales for the fourth quarter of 2025 to be somewhere between US$206 billion and US$213 billion while its operating income is expected to be in the range of US$21 billion to US$26 billion.
With revenue growing in double digits, wider margins and strong cash reserves, Amazon remains one of the most reliable and forward-looking tech companies globally.
