Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX: NST)
Northern Star Resources Ltd (ASX: NST) reported strong June quarter performance, with total gold sold of 433koz and FY26 gold sold reaching 1,543koz, matching revised guidance above 1,500koz. Kalgoorlie sold 844koz, including 468koz from KCGM, while Yandal sold 434koz and Pogo sold 265koz.
At 30 June 2026, cash and bullion stood at A$1,255 million with no corporate bank debt. The company bought A$129 million of shares during the quarter under its A$500 million buy-back program.
The KCGM Mill Expansion remains on schedule, with Stage I commissioning planned for early FY27 and Stage II completion expected by end of 2026. June quarterly results will be released on 29 July 2026.
Santos Limited (ASX: STO)
on 29 June 2026 that it had signed a Gas Sale Agreement with the South Australian Government to supply 200 PJ of domestic gas over 10 years from 2030 to 2040. The agreement includes 20 PJ annually, delivered from Moomba, with indexed pricing and prepayment structure.
The Moomba Central Optimisation project will improve Cooper Basin operations by replacing ageing compressor stations and reducing production costs and emissions. The project will be delivered over 3 years.
STO commenced production from Pikka Phase 1 on a continuous basis, starting at an initial rate of 20,000 bbl/day. The plateau production rate target is 80,000 bbl/day in Q3 2026.
Woodside Energy Group Ltd (ASX: WDS)
Woodside Energy Group Ltd (ASX: WDS) exercised its pre-emption right for CNPCβs 10.67% interest in the Browse Joint Venture during June 2026. The acquisition includes US$225 million payment and a possible US$175 million contingent payment after a final investment decision.
The Browse resource could produce 11.4 million tonnes per annum of LNG, LPG and domestic gas. Woodsideβs interest will increase to 41.27% after completion.
In Q1 2026, Woodside delivered 45.2 MMboe production, with Scarborough 96% complete and Trion 56% complete. Louisiana LNG reached 24% completion.
BHP Group Limited (ASX: BHP)
BHP Group Limited (ASX: BHP) announced its operational review for the year ended 30 June 2026 on 16 July 2026. The company delivered record iron ore production and around 2 Mt of copper output for the second year. WAIO achieved record iron ore production, while BMA recorded its highest stripping volumes in five years.
The company progressed growth projects, including Jansen potash, VicuΓ±a, Resolution and Faraday. Faraday agreements were signed for San Manuel in Arizona in exchange for a 30% equity interest.
BHP advanced copper opportunities through VicuΓ±a approvals and Cerro Colorado restart plans. Copper South Australia strategy work also continued.
Newmont Corporation (ASX: NEM)
Newmont Corporation (ASX: NEM) will release second quarter 2026 results on 24 July 2026. Gold prices declined 0.65% to US$4,113.7 an ounce as expectations of higher interest rates affected the metal.
The company produced 1.3 million attributable gold ounces, 9 million ounces of silver and 30 thousand tonnes of copper during the first quarter. Gold AISC was $1,029 per ounce.
Net income of $3.3 billion, free cash flow of $3.1 billion, and liquidity of $12.8 billion was recorded by Newmont. The shareholder returns were $2.7 billion.
