3 ASX AI Stocks Investors Should Have on Their Watchlist
These three ASX companies are seeing strong AI driven growth, supported by rising demand for AI data, AI model development, greater AI adoption and expanding data centre capacity.
Appen Limited (ASX: APX)
On 27 August 2026, shared H1 FY26 results. APX achieved revenue of $119.9 million, up 17% from the same dated last year. Underlying EBITDA before FX was $5.3 million, improving by $7.5 million. Appen China revenue rose 80% to $76.2 million, with its June annualised revenue run-rate above $175 million. Cash at 30 June 2026 was $44.7 million.
Appen continues to see strong demand for AI data as Western and Chinese AI model builders compete to develop new models. The company is working with customers across both markets and was involved in several new AI model releases during the first half. Appen China remained an important growth area through its work with Chinese model builders.
Appen Global is expanding projects with leading AI labs and building its presence across frontier AI labs in the USA. The company is also using more AI in its own operations to improve efficiency, identifying around $12 million in annual cost savings. Appen said it remains confident in the AI data market and sees positive signs for LLM-related growth from customers in both regions.
